Terms and Conditions

FIRST BREEDING SEASON GUARANTEE:

All bulls are unconditionally guaranteed through their first breeding season. If for any reason the bulls are not able to perform during the breeding season they will be replaced by a bull of like kind. If there is not a replacement available, full credit will be applied toward a purchase in next year’s sale. The breeding season will be defined as being from the date of delivery until September 1, 2009. If the bull dies or is not able to perform due to human error this guarantee is null and void.

WINTERING ARRANGEMENTS:

All bulls will be taken back to and kept at Rice’s Scottsbluff feedlot location through April 2009 at no charge to the customer.

DELIVERY:

All bulls will be delivered FREE of charge to the closest sale barn or centrally located delivery point.  If the customer wants delivery at a time other than the April time frame, he will be responsible for making his own transportation arrangements at his cost.

SIGHT UNSEEN POLICY:

Buyers unable to attend the sale may send their bids to the Owner, Regional Manager, Field Representatives or Auctioneer. Snake Creek Ranch guarantees you will be satisfied with your purchase.

HEALTH:

The vaccination program at Snake Creek Angus uses an aggressive vaccination program with modified live vaccines to produce a healthy breeding animal.  These bulls have received three doses of Vista Once SQ; at pre-branding, at branding and then again at weaning. Alpha 7 (7 Way Clostridial) was given at branding and again at weaning.  The bulls have also received two doses of Ivermectin during the test period.  All of the bulls will be fertility tested by Justin Welsh, D.V.M. of Pioneer Animal Clinic within 45 days of the sale and will be delivered with an individual semen evaluation and interstate health certificate if needed.

AM (ARTHOGRYPOSIS MULTIPLEX DEFECT):

All bulls that have a lineage suspected to carry the Arthogryposis Multiplex Defect have been tested by Dr. Jonathon Beaver at the University of Illinois and have been found to be AM FREE.

BULL INSPECTION AVAILABILITY:

The bulls will be available for inspection at any time, prior to the sale, at Snake Creek Ranch, which is 30 miles northeast of Scottsbluff, NE. On February 4, 2009, the bulls will be available to be viewed at Platte Valley Livestock Auction, Gering, Nebraska.
